Nationals Get An Owner – Finally!

Well, as I'm sure you've discovered, Major League Baseball finally got around to selling the Washington Nationals. If we had heard one more news report that the deal would be announced any day we would have pulled the rest of the yarn out of our heads! Thanks to Bud Selig for waiting until after the season started, so the team wouldn't have the resources to improve itself this year. 
Also, if you read the paper today, you know the big news that Jimy and I are part owners!!!
Apparently, the deal was being held up by the DC government because the Lerners didn't have minority members on their ownership team. We got a call late Sunday night with the offer to join the group. After two and a half minutes of intense negotiations, we reached an agreement with Mr. Lerner and his son.
They must have been desperate, because we got a real sweet heart deal! We get a .0000000000000005 share of the team, half price sodas at any game we attend, and if tickets are available for a home game we get first crack at the "best available" tickets on Ticket Master. Who's the smart business man now Mr. Lerner! 
Yea for us, and yea for the Nationals! 
eyespot.com 72 Hour Cell Phone Video Contest

Jacky and I heard about the eyespot.com 72 hour cell phone video contest last Friday afternoon, with a grand prize of 500 bucks, and decided to submit an entry and claim that prize! We did have a problem though, we don't have a cell phone. Luckily for us our friend Ed let us borrow his phone.
We both woke up really early on Sunday morning, it had to be at least 8:00 AM, and went downtown to shoot our video. You'll never believe what happened next!!! We don't want to spoil the surprise, but we are going to drop in and visit our new friend next weekend for sure.
